Modern slavery statement.

This statement is made on a voluntary basis. Cobalt sits below the £36m turnover threshold set out in section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015, but we believe the standards in that Act are the right ones to hold ourselves to, regardless of size.

Our business.

Cobalt Labs Limited (registered in England and Wales, company number 17347364) is a Bristol-based AI consultancy. We work with small and medium-sized businesses across the UK, helping them adopt AI in a practical, accountable way. We are a small team and we contract with a short, deliberately chosen list of suppliers.

Our commitment.

We have a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking in our business and in our supply chain. We expect every supplier, contractor and partner we work with to share that commitment.

How we manage risk.

• We assess new suppliers on the basis of reputation, jurisdiction and the nature of the work before we engage them.
• Our work is overwhelmingly knowledge-based and UK-delivered, which places us in a lower-risk part of the supply chain map.
• We pay everyone, including freelancers and contractors, at or above the Real Living Wage as a minimum.
• Anyone working with Cobalt can raise concerns directly with the founder, in confidence, without fear of reprisal.
